1. Scope and developer
This policy covers CodExa / Erdinç Topal’s 2048 Android app (2048: Ultimate Edition / 2048 Ultimate) and iOS app (2048 - Number Merge Puzzle), identifier com.codexa.game2048. Features and data handling differ by platform and version as described below. Contact: exaque2@gmail.com. This notice explains data practices; reading it or installing the app does not replace a consent or tracking-permission choice.
2. Game data and accounts
- Both platforms: game scores, preferences and saved game state are stored locally where supported. Current implementations do not provide Firestore cloud synchronization of game progress.
- Android: Firebase Authentication supports email/password, Google sign-in and anonymous guest access. Depending on your choice, Firebase processes an account identifier, email address, authentication credentials and Google profile information made available through sign-in. Guest access creates an anonymous authentication identifier. These services support authentication and account security; they do not mean game progress is stored in the cloud.
- iOS: no account registration, Google sign-in or Firebase Authentication is used. Playing does not require an account with us.
3. Advertising and technical data
Free play may include Google AdMob banner, interstitial and optional rewarded advertisements. Formats and rewards depend on the platform and version. Google’s advertising services may process IP addresses (including approximate location inferred from IP), device or advertising identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, app interactions, crash reports, performance and diagnostic information. Purposes include delivering and measuring ads, analytics, fraud prevention and service reliability. This also means an ad-free purchase does not retroactively delete data already processed.
On iOS versions with advertising, Google’s User Messaging Platform manages applicable consent flows. On eligible devices, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt requests permission before access to IDFA for tracking. Declining tracking permission does not prevent play; IDFA is not provided in ad requests when permission is denied. Other advertising data can still be processed. Available ads and privacy messages depend on region, device settings, consent status and version.
Where offered, use the app’s Privacy options entry to revisit consent. Tracking permission can also be changed in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Android advertising controls are available in the device’s Google/Ads privacy settings; their location varies by Android version. Changing these settings does not necessarily remove all advertisements.
4. Purchases
Android purchases are handled by Google Play Billing; iOS purchases and restores use Apple StoreKit and the App Store. The app processes product and transaction information needed to verify ownership and restore entitlements. We do not receive payment-card details. iOS 2048 Pro is an optional one-time purchase that removes ads and unlocks unlimited undo. When a valid Pro entitlement is detected at iOS launch, advertising is not started; purchasing Pro during a session prevents further ad display. Android benefits are those shown on its purchase screen. Storefront prices and purchase records are managed by the relevant store.
5. Providers and disclosure
Data is processed by Google for advertising and Android authentication, and by Google or Apple for their respective purchases. If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send to respond to your request. Providers may process data outside your country under their policies and applicable safeguards. See Google Privacy Policy, Firebase privacy information, Google Mobile Ads data disclosure and Apple Privacy Policy.
6. Retention, deletion and rights
Local game data remains until it is reset, cleared or removed with the app; device backups may retain copies under your backup settings. Uninstalling does not itself delete an Android Firebase account or store purchase records.
To request deletion of an Android account or personal data held by us, email exaque2@gmail.com with subject “2048 Account Deletion”, your platform and account email or user identifier if available. Do not send passwords. We may ask for minimal information to verify ownership. Requests cover the authentication account and associated data under our control; third-party advertising data and store transaction records are governed by those providers’ retention and deletion processes. Information that must be retained for legal, security or transaction obligations may be kept for those purposes. iOS has no app account to delete.
You may also contact us to request access, correction or deletion, or to exercise applicable privacy rights. Consent can be withdrawn through the available controls; withdrawal does not undo prior lawful processing. You may contact your local data protection authority about a concern. Service data follows provider retention policies; we do not promise immediate deletion from every provider or backup.
7. Children, security and updates
We do not ask children to provide personal information for support. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information can contact us for review and deletion assistance. Store age ratings describe content suitability and do not constitute parental consent to data processing. Authentication and payment services use their providers’ security measures; no service can guarantee absolute security. Material changes to data practices will be reflected on this page with an updated date and additional notice or consent where required.
